Temporary Administrative Assistant – Central Advertising

Hachette Book Group’s Central Advertising team is seeking a highly organized and dependable Temporary Administrative Assistant to provide operational and administrative support. This part-time role (approximately 10–15 hours per week for three month) will report directly to the Director of Advertising & Social Commerce and play a key supporting role in keeping the team running smoothly. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to managing tasks.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage and process advertising invoices, maintaining accurate records.
• Update and maintain project management software to track campaign timelines, deliverables, and team tasks.
• Update and maintain various reports, including campaign performance summaries and budget tracking documents.
• Provide general administrative support for the central advertising team, including scheduling meetings, preparing decks and documents, and other tasks as needed.
 
Requirements
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with project management software, such as Microsoft Planner, is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in publishing or marketing is a plus.
